She was ‘Touched’
She touched, but couldn’t feel,
As if on earth as an incomplete deal,
She tried and tried, her wounds wouldn’t heal
Depressed and frustrated, she lost her zeal,
Afraid of the world, she wouldn’t reveal,
Her life was left a lonely ordeal.
She played and played, till her heart would squeal,
For her only wish, her sole ordeal.
God then decided to his deed repeal,
To effortlessly, complete his incomplete deal,
An angel came on golden wheels,
He touched her, she felt him, with laughter peels,
Her life was changed, once again full of zeal.
It touched her, she could so much feel (in her heart and life).
I am currently pursuing a course in creative communications. It was for one of my assignments as part of the course curriculum that I attempted to know more about a growing yet less attented to afflictions of the world, Leprosy. Each endeavor to know more, be it through interactions or research, made me more and more sensitive towards the anguish of the people affected by it.
