Livelihood & Community Based Rehabilitation
In line with Millennium Development Goal (MDG) No. 1, NLR Foundation is providing training in Livelihood with market linkage as well as facilitating skills training to persons affected by leprosy and their dependents.
NLR Foundation believes that by supporting youth & affected persons to develop new skills, by giving them access to relevant vocational training and connecting them with employers/market, we enable them to take control of their own careers and lives, and to help their families break out of the cycle of poverty and ultimately bringing them to join mainstream.
So far, more than 100 youth have been trained in skills and placed in different organization.
Dress designing project at Jagat Mata Colony, Tilak Nagar in Delhi where Six women are getting trained. Eighteen women at Nirmala colony, Ranchi are being part of adult literacy programme & later they will be getting trained in producing handicraft.
