The 18th quarterly National Task Force (NTF) meeting of PEP++ study was held on 28th February 2024 in New Delhi, under the chairmanship of Dr. Anil Kumar, Principal Advisor, National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Govt. of India (GoI) & Principal Investigator (PI). It was participated by Co-PIs namely Dr. Sudarsan Mandal, Sr. Chief Medical Officer (CMO), GoI, Dr. Jaya Dehalvi, SLO, Uttar Pradesh, Dr. H. K. Kar, Professor, Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Odisha, and Dr. Ashok Agarwal, CEO, NLR India cum Co-PI. Dr. Suchitra Lisam, Co-Investigator, Dr. Danish Suhail, Project Coordinator, and Akshat Garg, GIS Manager, PEP++ attended the meeting. The study team reviewed the trial progress and upcoming plans i.e. conducting Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, blanket trial etc. Dr. Wim van Brakel, Medical Director, NLR International joined virtually as a special invitee particularly to explain the inclusion of PCR testing. The meeting of Data Management Committee (DMC) was also organized on the same day, to review data quality related issues etc.
