NRL India hosted a sewing machine distribution ceremony at Prithviraj Chauhan Smriti Bhawan
We are thrilled to share that on July 30, 2024, NRL India hosted a sewing machine distribution ceremony at Prithviraj Chauhan Smriti Bhawan, Sadar Block, Aurangabad (Bihar). This event was organized with the noble aim of empowering women, especially persons with disability who belong to socio-economically weaker sections.
In this program, 25 females living with disability were selected from various blocks of the district to receive sewing machines. These young women have previously received tailoring training conducted by NLR India but lacked the resources to earn a living. With this support, they can now work towards becoming self-reliant.
Several dignitaries, including Assistant Director Mr. Amrit Kumar Ojha, District Program Manager Mr. Dharampal Piyush, and various Panchayati Raj members graced the event. The Assistant Director distributed the sewing machines, marking a significant step towards women’s empowerment.
Special thanks to the State Program Lead Dr. chandra mani State CBR Coordinator NLR India, Mr. Shambhu nath Tiwari NLR India, Akshay kumar Prajapati DID coordinator NLR India, and all others who played a crucial role in making this event a success. A total of 80 people, including the 25 beneficiaries and their guardians, participated in this uplifting ceremony.
Together, we are paving the way for these young women’s brighter, self-sufficient future!
