Field visit by the PEP++ study team and the Group picture of the participants at the 17th National Task Force (NTF) meeting Project in Varanasi
NLR India had facilitated and organized a Field visit from 25-27th October 2023 related to PEP++ Stop Transmission of Leprosy Project, for the central Government team comprising of Dr. Anil Kumar, Principal Advisor, National Disease Control Programme (NDCP), Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoHFW), Government of India (GoI), Principal Investigator (PI) of the study and Dr. Sudarshan Mandal, Deputy Director General (DDG)- Leprosy, Central Leprosy Division (CLD), MoHFW, GoI, and Co-PI. Dr. Jaya Dehalvi, State Leprosy Officer (SLO), Government of Uttar Pradesh (UP), and Co-PI joined the visiting team from Lucknow. The Study team had visited both the project districts i.e. Chandauli and Fatehpur of Uttar Pradesh (UP) for review of the study progress and to attend the 17th National Task Force (NTF) meeting of the study. From NLR India, the visiting team comprised of Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Country Director and Co-PI, and Dr. Suchitra Lisam, Head of Research & Knowledge Management.
